In 1975-6 I founded, wrote and published (and sold subscriptions to)
Outlook - a newsletter of opportunities for women in
Cincinnati. This served women who finally discovered they had
choices and deserved their chance to bloom. It was operating in the
black when I left it in the hands of my two co-writers and moved to
Arizona.
Marjorie became Marji Stamm Kilb, Writer. Then my real life began. I
enrolled in courses at MCC - Astronomy, Rockhound Geology, Plants of
Mohave County, Jewelry Design and Creation, Photography, English
Composition and Creative Writing.
Associations: Society of Southwest Authors

I have written 2 novels (unpublished). I am presently working on
memoirs of travels with my artist/writer daughter, Jenny, in the
western wilderness areas over a period of twelve years. Present
title is Places of the Soul and is a collection, of essays.
Other works in progress are short stories, short-short stories,
essays and a smattering of poetry.
Published work: The Hostile Hostel - LHC Today’s
News Herald.
The Lost River - Havasu Connections
Short stories and essays in Dazzling Desert, anthologies,
ezines
Reason for writing: I enjoy it! I like to create fictional
characters, places and situations. Our travels have taken me back to
my childhood love of nature and now, writing about these travels
transports me to our adventures in some of America’s most scenic,
peaceful and mystical places. Places that soothe and rejuvenate the
soul. I love the writing, but it does stir up the wanderlust. Utah
keeps beckoning me - even in my dreams.
