Lois Jean Matthews Palmer
Lois Jean Matthews Palmer was born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1931. She
graduated from Zanesville High School in 1949. In 1952 Lois
graduated from the Good Samaritan School of nursing located in
Zanesville. That same year she passed State Boards and received her
R.N.
Lois married in 1955, had 2 sons and now has 5 grandchildren. In
1962 the family moved to California where Lois worked in several
hospitals. She has worked in Public health, Home Nursing, a
Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. Correlating work experience for
Cypress A.S. Nursing Program and California State University's
Masters and Doctorate program was a challenge she enjoyed.
Lois received her A.S. from Cypress Community College, B.S. in
management from Pacific Christian College in Fullerton, and a
Masters in Vocational Education from California State University at
Long Beach.
When Lois and her husband retired to Lake Havasu, AZ., Lois enrolled
in several creative writing classes at Mohave Community College.
As of this date she has been published in the local paper, "Desert
Treasures" (a college anthology), "The National Library of Poetry"
