Quote:
"The person who tries to live alone will not succeed as a human being. His heart withers if it does not answer another heart. His mind shrinks away if he hears only the echoes of his own thoughts and finds no other inspiration."
Pearl S. Buck

Academic background: Attended Catholic Schools in Central America before immigrating to the United States. Graduated from Manual Arts High School, Los Angeles, California.

Employment background: Travel Agent, PAA, Managua, Nicaragua

Full time mother.

Real Estate Broker.

Personal Information: A happy marriage of forty-nine years to a wonderful man, produced a son, two daughters, one granddaughter and three grandsons who are my pride and joy.

Became a widow in 1999. I am trying to fill the void in my life and to heal my broken heart by traveling, writing and studying art.

Member of Lake Havasu Writers’ Club.

After retiring from a career as a Real Estate Broker, I decided to share my life experiences in Guatemala, Nicaragua and the United States with my children and grandchildren. This led me to go back to college for a refresher course in English followed by several courses in Creative Writing, where my teachers encouraged me to continue writing.

My biggest inspirations were my mother and father, who nurtured me and made me believe that I was someone unique with special talents. My father was an attorney, a published author, teacher, philosopher, orator and a politician. My mother was a wonderful woman, a masterful storyteller, who inspired me throughout the years.

Literary snapshots of scenes seen through a young immigrant’s eyes arriving in the United States in 1945 are intermingled with her experiences in different countries.
