B. Carleen Loveland Taylor

B. Carleen Loveland Taylor was born in Nampa, Idaho in 1949.  She enjoys varied artistic endeavors. One of which is writing.  Carleen has been writing since her grandmother surprised her with the gift of a diary when she was nine years of age.   Years have never lessened her desire to put words and expression on paper.  Poetry often is her genre as well as children’s stories and non-fiction of varied length.

She co-authored the book Call Me Dad.  It was published in 1989 and received the First Place Non-fiction Utah Writers League Award.  Her writing often includes a spiritual insight or teaching of a life lesson.  The Nevada Lander County Silver Platter Award was given to her in 1996 in recognition of her poem “Prayer of Travail.” This poem was later published.

Carleen occasionally writes with the pen name “CoCo Carleen” and delights in being called CoCo by her six grandchildren and other friends.  She has four grown children.  She and her husband, Greg, when not in Lake Havasu, AZ., reside part time in White Bird, Idaho near the Salmon River.  They also spend time in northern Nevada on their ranch.

Carleen has stated the following: “ For me the struggle of writing ignites wisdom beyond the authors’ simple knowledge and brings the peace of expressing what often seems inexpressible.”
